DC Prefect Board is the student leadership site for Delaware County Christian School. This page explains what we collect and how it is used. It is not legal advice.

Who runs this site

The prefect board and school administrators operate dcprefects.org. It is a school tool, not a commercial product we sell to the public.

What we collect

  • Prefect and admin accounts: name, school email, password (stored by our login provider), role, and optional profile photo.
  • Board work: announcements, requests, tasks, meetings, documents, chat, shoutouts, and feedback.
  • Student birthdays used in morning announcements (name and month/day).
  • Public announcement requests: the name, email, dates, and text you submit, and who you asked to announce it.
  • AI connections: a hashed personal token if you create one. We do not store Grok/ChatGPT/Claude account passwords.
  • A first-party login cookie so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data.

What is public

The login page is visible to anyone on the internet. On announcement days it may show: the day’s announcements, student first names for birthdays, a verse, prayer leader name, and a fun fact. Guest requests, once approved, are also shown there. Prefect names appear on the public request form so a guest can pick who should announce.

Everything else (tasks, documents, chat, emails, full birthday records) stays behind a school login.

Guest requests

If you request an announcement without an account, we use your name and email only to review that request and to contact you about it. We do not add you to a mailing list.

AI connections

If you connect Grok, Claude, ChatGPT, or another assistant, that tool can do what your account can do — including reading announcements, birthdays, and tasks you can already see. Do not share your token. Revoke it in Profile if it leaks. Do not send other people’s private information to an AI you are not allowed to use for school work.

How long we keep it

Account and board records stay for as long as the school uses this site. You can ask an admin to correct or delete your account information. Guest request emails can be removed from a request by an admin after it is handled.
